Dr Arun-Castro is a performing arts physician with a background in Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry and Family Medicine.
He has considerable experience of medical provision at UK major festivals, stadia shows and sporting events.
As a doctor in the live-events scene he became more aware of the physical and mental strains experienced by performers and production, ranging from fatigue to acute pain and stress reactions on tour.
He has worked as a doctor in pre-hospital care teams at Glastonbury, Reading, Download and Latitude Festivals and several UK Stadia venues including Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park’s London Stadium and the Silverstone F1 Grand Prix Circuit. He now provides a clinic for UK charity BAPAM (British Association of Performing Arts Medicine) as an assessing clinician, is a member of MITC and has a private practice.
